Bellinda Joyce Wells, 78, a resident of Luverne Alabama, passed away unexpectedly in her home on December 17th, 2024. A celebration of Bellinda’s life with be held at a later time.
She spent much of her life helping others and lending a hand when needed. She owned and ran BJ’s Grocery in Rutledge for 15+ years. There she formed countless relationships within her community. She also spent several of her young adult years as a bus driver.
Bellinda was a beloved mother and grandmother and was known to many as “Nana”. She filled her days doing the things she loved and visiting with friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and gardening. She also had a deep love for her many pets throughout the years and often spent time at the local animal shelter and animal clinic.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Christine Waters; mother, Annie Joe Sexton; sister, Ida Elaine (Susie) Manning; brother, Wesley (Buddy) Smith; sister, Sherry Printup.
Bellinda is survived by her sister Mary (Kate) Colley; daughters Angie (Scott Brown) Stephens and Paula (John) Morgan; grandchildren, Shelby (Seth) Wood, Ashley (Jake) Stewart, Katelin Stephens, Erin Stephens, Magan (Nic) Daniel, Kelly (Danny) White, and Taylor (Daniel Best) Morgan; great grandchildren, Reese Wood, Heath Wood, Leighton Daniel, Laura Ann Stewart, John Parker White, Jacob Wood, Tucker White, Lochlan Stewart, and Heath Best; sister-in-law Amelia (Richard) Klosowsky; and a host of nieces and nephews. And her dear friend of many years, Holly Shelton.
