Danny Steven Davidson-Cline
September 21, 1963 – September 15, 2023
Danny Steven Davidson-Cline, 59, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away at his home, The Flamingo, on Friday, September 15th, 2023. He was surrounded by love with his husband, David and fur-baby, Taos, by his side.
Danny was born in Tallassee, Alabama on September 21, 1963, to the late, Rush Alphonso Davidson and Theresa Ramona Reames Davidson Lackey. Danny also joins his beloved three amigos, Fred, Lucy, and Alfie across the bridge.
He is survived by his husband, David Cline-Davidson and fur-baby, Taos; sister, Deborah Davidson Melton; brother, David Davidson; niece, Carrie King; nephews, Alex King, Joey Davidson, and Andy Davidson; and 10 grand-nieces and nephews.
Danny was a proud graduate of Auburn University. WDE!!! He was a dedicated fan of live theater and worked in costuming, both as a professional and volunteer for many years. He retired from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and theaters in New Mexico. After retirement, he applied his talents at many local community theaters including The Cloverdale Playhouse in Montgomery and the Montgomery Little Theatre. He was immensely loved and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Jackson Hospital, The physical therapy team at Baptist Home Health, Hospice of Montgomery, as well as, Cynthia Knight, and the team at Fresenius.
A memorial service will be held for Danny on October 8, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. CT at Cloverdale Playhouse located at 960 Cloverdale Rd, Montgomery, AL 36106.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Danny’s memory to his favorite charity, Little Star Chihuahua Rescue, based in Montgomery, Alabama. They can be found on Facebook.
