Glover “Bill” Owens
June 11, 1958– February 25, 2024
Glover “Bill” Owens, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away in Deatsville on February 25, 2024 at the age of 65.
Bill Owens was born in Wetumpka on June 11, 1958 to the late, Charlie and Ruth Owens. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Goldie Fike (Tommie), Sue Grier, Paul Owens (Pat), Barney Owens, William Owens, Thomas Owens, Larry Owens, and David Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Owens; two brothers, James Owens and Gene Owens (Lori); four children, Randy (Amber) Jones, Jr., Stephanie (Cory) Bowden, Thomas (Maria) Owens and Elizabeth (Pete) Navarre; thirteen grandchildren, Aaron, Rylee, Bryson, Ainsley, Cory (Xzandria), Caylee, Colin, Dylan, Zach, Easton, Kendall, Kaylee, Klay; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was immensely loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Benjamin Wei and his staff; UAB Hospital departments, SICU, MCCU, Spain-Wallace Ward; and to Enhabit Hospice’s nurses, Brandi, Holli and CNA Venita.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at four o’clock at Faith Baptist Church located at 64 Chapel Rd. Wetumpka, AL 36092 with Jim Lester officiating.
