Harvey was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Alabama at the age of 4. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Venn,father, Harvey Venn, grandparents, Leonard and Dot Dobson, very special brother-in-law/best friend, Tony Sanders, and niece, Amanda Young. Harvey was a hard worker. If he fixed something, he fixed it right! He loved to do yard work, garden, and he loved to fish. He loved his sister, Lisa’s and niece, Haley’s cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Venn of Goodwater; his son, Hunter Gibbs (Kayla) of Sylacauga; son, Logan Gibbs(Samantha) of Goodwater; son, Jordan Venn(Macey)of Goodwater; daughter, Katie Venn(Jacolby) of Goodwater; 2 grandchildren, Kimlynn and Byron Gibbs of Sylacauga. He is survived by his sisters, Rita Hallman (Terry) of Goodwater,Lisa sanders of Sylacauga and Brenda McDonald(Bryant) of Sylacauga. Special brothers, Paul Smith of Goodwater and Ray Blankenship of Sylacauga. Special friend,Rosalyn Tindall.
He was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Harvey was a kind soul, always had a smile, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be Saturday the 27th at Browns Chapel Church in Sylacauga at 2:00. Friends and family can arrive at 1:00 and service will start at 2:00.
