John Taylor Dale
July 31, 1930 – January 16, 2024
John Taylor Dale passed away in Montgomery, Alabama on January 16, 2024 at 93 years old.
He was born in Montgomery on July 31, 1930 to the late, Junius Clark Dale and Carrie Hugger Dale. After graduating from Lanier High School he went on to study business at The University of Alabama. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. After graduation, he worked in Insurance sales for Dale Stewart Insurance Company which later was named Dale Farrior Insurance Company. After selling Dale Farrior he worked for his remaining years in real estate development.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genelle West Dale; his daughters Laine Dale Filasky (Joe) and Laura Dale Dockery (Jimmy) ; his grandchildren, John Taylor Dockery, Katherine Sandra Dockery and James Forrest Dockery.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024
at Landmark Church of Christ located at 1800 Halcyon Blvd. Visitation will take place at 10:30 a.m. CT followed by the service at 11:30. A private family burial will take place in Oakhill, AL at a later date.
