Angela Trillet

A memorial service celebrating the life of Ms. Angela Trillet, 65, of Daviston, Alabama, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Daviston Community Center, located at 22902 Highway 22 E., Daviston, AL 36256.

Ms. Trillet passed away on July 16, 2026, at Brown's Nursing Home.

Angela was born on January 15, 1961, in Opelika, Alabama, to Floyd Hilyer and Camelia Cash Hilyer. She attended Lafayette High School and had a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

She especially loved fishing and collecting unusual rocks. Angela was known as a fearless friend and protector whose strength, loyalty, and caring spirit touched the lives of many.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mandy Thomas of Daviston; her grandson, Kody Shelnutt (Kyleigh) of Beulah; her great-granddaughter, Emmy Shelnutt; her brother, David (Jeanne) Hilyer of Foley; her sister, Teresa (Tim) Wyckoff of Daviston; her cousin, Donna Butts of Daviston; her beloved cat, Greyby; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews, and many cherished cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Hilyer and Camelia Cash Hilyer.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Brown's Nursing Home and Southern Care Hospice for the exceptional love, care, and support they provided to Angela during her final days.

Angela's love of nature, unwavering courage, and generous heart will be remembered always.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
