Obituary

Carol Tesney Cram June 12, 1955 – May 16, 2026

With heavy hearts and grateful memories, we announce the passing of Carol Tesney Cram who went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol graduated from Beauregard High School in 1973 and went on to build a successful career in accounting. Demonstrating her lifelong commitment to learning, she earned her MBA from Troy University in her 40's.

Carol was a steady source of love, strength, and companionship as a sister, a devoted and loving wife, and constant source of support for her children. As a grandmother she delighted in cheering on their sports teams, offering sage advice, and spoiling them just the right amount.

She will always be remembered for her strong faith, quick wit, and deep love for the Atlanta Braves and SEC sports. Carol had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, creating a blended family filled with warmth, laughter and unconditional love. Her sense of humor was one of her greatest gifts- quick, kind, and unforgettable- and even in difficult times, she brightened the lives of those around her.

Carol was preceded in death by her father Ben Tesney and Brother-in-Law Rickey Clark.

She is survived by her mother Joyce Tesney; sisters Peggy Clark and Lynn Barnes (Tommy); loving husband Richard J. Cram; sister-in-law Barbara Talbot; children Shane Ward (Patience), Sarah Haidu (Daniel), Lanie Morris (Tim), Heather Ahmed (Usama), Kelleigh Cram (Kevin); grandchildren Bailey Ward (Scarlett), Raymond Morris (Cheyenne), Miles Simpson, Lauren Ward, Julie Morris, Nadia Dahlvang (Titian), Karina Bullard (Adam), Maryam Ahmed, and Zara Ahmed; great-grandchildren Theo, Jax, and Ashton; as well as nephews Cliff Barnes, Brent Clark, and niece Kristi Wood (Brice).

A Celebration of Life will be held: June 13th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm EST The Webb's Place 1920 Pierce Road Phenix City, AL 36867

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carol's memory to a cancer research organization.

In honoring her memory, the family invites everyone to celebrate Carol the way she would have wanted- with love, laughter, and perhaps while cheering on the home team.
