Debra Diane Carden

January 27, 1957- July 18, 2026

Debra Diane Carden, of Alexander City, Alabama, passed away on July 18, 2026. She was 69 years old.

She was born on January 27, 1957, in Sylacauga, AL to her parents, Lloyd Grice and Bertha Ann Beck.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Ann Gray; and one brother, Johnny Gray. She is survived by her three children, Jimi (Angie) Gray, Jeromie (Lisa) Carden, and Tessa (John) Ivery; five grandchildren, Abby and Kayleigh Ivery, Matthew and Aubrey Gray, and Stella Brooke Carden; two brothers, Randy and Billy Joe Gray. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Debra lived a simple life in Alexander City for the last 30 years. She enjoyed tending to her plants, watching the deer in her yard and seeing the birds flock to her bird feeders.

She was a Christian woman with integrity who trusted all things with God. Whatever Debra put her mind to, she accomplished it. She loved her entire family wholeheartedly. She had the most genuine smile and laugh.

If she could have one final wish, she would ask everyone to always keep your bird feeders full and to equally live with your hearts full of joy.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 3 p.m. CT at Poplar Springs Baptist Church of Hanover, AL.
