Elianna Diane Mayhew of Calera, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2021, at the age of 20. She was born on November 19, 2000, in Tetiiv, Ukraine, and was adopted by her parents, R. Ronald Mayhew, Jr., ("Ronnie") and Julia W. Mayhew, on February 14, 2014, at the age of 13.

She is survived by her parents and three loving siblings, as well as extended family and precious friends.

Elianna loved making other people laugh and never met an animal that she didn't want to take home. Elianna enjoyed playing (and cheating) at games with her family and friends. She was loved by family and friends all over the world (literally). Her parents have a bible verse for each of their children that has been a focal point of prayer and dedication for the kids, and Elianna's special verse was 2 Thessalonians 3:16a, "

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, at The Church at Shelby Crossings located at 532 George Roy Parkway, Calera, Alabama 35040. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the service immediately following at 5:00 p.m. Ken Letson, Senior Pastor at The Church at Shelby Crossings, and Dr. Hal Warren, Senior Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lifeline Children's Services, 100 Missionary Ridge, Birmingham, AL 35242 (
