Gary Allen Blank
January 6, 1964 – September 16, 2025
Gary Allen Blank, age 61 passed away on September 16, 2025 in Seale Al Born on January 6th, 1964. Gary dedicated his life to serving others both through his culinary skills and his ministry.
A graduate of Johnson and Wales University, Gary was deeply involved with Teen Challenge, where he developed as a leader and mentor from 2007 to 2017, working at various centers and Teen Challenge in Columbus, GA where he met his wife. His commitment to faith led him to become and ordained minister through the International Fellowship of Assemblies of God, serving from 2015 until his passing.
Gary’s loving nature was evident in his personal life and his community interactions. Known for his caring personality, he put other’s needs before his own, whether he was cooking, providing first aid, or sharing his knowledge of electronics. He was also a passionate evangelist, often sharing his faith with other in everyday situations.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Ann Monroe Blank; his son Noah Jacob Blank:his parents Donald and Leah Strang Blank, in-laws John and Mary Griffith Berry, James Monroe; his brother Kirk Blank (Brenda) and extended family members including Carrie Monroe, James and Valerie Freeman, cousins Douglas and Susan Blank, five nephew, two nieces, five great nephews, and four great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Fern Orris Strang, Wayne and Mary Blank, and Uncle John Strang.
Gary worshipped at River of Life in Phenix City, AL, where his memorial service will be held on Saturday September 27th 11am in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Global Teen Challenge at www.Globaltc.org or by mail at 15th West 10th Street Columbus Georgia 31901, honoring Gary’s commitment to helping others transform their lives through faith and care.
