James “Jim” Anthony Lund
January 19, 1960 – April 21, 2026
James “Jim” Anthony Lund, age 66, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 at his home in
Opelika, AL.
James was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his father, Romaine “Bozo”
Lund, his mother, Mary Stearns Lund, his two brothers, Kurt Lund and Michael Lund.
James was a tire builder for Uniroyal in Wisconsin before transferring to the Opelika plant where
he worked for many years.
James was a devoted husband, father, and papa. He took pride in everything he did, especially
cooking and grilling. James loved his Rock ‘n’ Roll, Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers
football.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lund; four daughters, Christina Lund, Jessica Lund, Tricia
Hamman, and April Hamman; his pride and joys of grandchildren, Jason Stanfield, LaDiamond
Maddox, Dezavion Howard, Aubrie Turner, Kynzilee Johnson and Zylin Johnson; his sister,
Linda Mason; niece, Rachel Mason; and nephew, Jordan Mason.
To know James is to love James. He will forever be loved, remembered and missed by so many
people.
