Lewis Kranz, 67, passed away at his home in Dadeville, Alabama on March 30 th . Lewis was the son of Lewis M. Kranz and Nina Kranz (née Kitchen) also of Kenosha. He was born in Kenosha on April 18 th , 1953, and grew up as part of a military family, living in a variety of places across the country and overseas. Throughout his life he enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and skiing.
During his high school years, he was a life guard, a camp waterfront director, and started a successful lawn mowing business. In1969, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.
Lewis graduated from Tremper High School in 1971, where he was a member of the Cross Country team. In 1976, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a B.S. in Chemistry.
Prior to his retirement to Alabama, Lewis was a private consultant, specializing in quality process engineering and compliance auditing for major pharmaceutical and medical device companies. His work took him to locations around the United States and in Germany, working with such companies as AbbVie, Johnson & Johnson, Gillette, and St. Jude.
He is survived by his partner, Tammy Love of Dadeville, Alabama, his sister, Karen Hinton of Spanish Fort, Alabama, and his four sons: Alexander Kranz of Cary, North Carolina; Daniel Kranz, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Reggie Kranz of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; and Mitchell Kranz of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
