Lyle Duane Herman Lehman

January 8th, 1935 – May 26th, 2026

Lyle Lehman passed away on May 26th, 2026, at the age of 91.

Lyle was born and raised on a farm in Weaton, Minnesota on January 8, 1935 (coincidentally the exact same day as the late Elvis Presily). After serving in the Air Force, Lyle moved to Southern California where he met his wife, Patricia Chuvala. They married and lived in Camarillo, CA for over 50 years before settling in Alabama in 2017.

Lyle enjoyed traveling the country together with Pat visiting friends and family. He especially loved visiting the farm in Minnesota and his grandson in Alabama. He enjoyed many cruises with family and traveled to many different countries.

Lyle loved watching his son’s baseball and soccer games and even participated as coach on a team. His favorite pastime was his incredible backyard garden and impeccable lawn. He really had a green thumb!

Lyle worked in Oxnard, California, developing and assembling electronic prototype devices. Many of these devices were used on rockets that launched men to the moon and for many of the space shuttle missions.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Patricia Lehman; brothers, Raymond and Wally; sisters, Bertha, Pearl and Mae.

Lyle is survived by his 2 sons, Daniel and Duane; daughter-in-law, Shandy; and only grandson, Parker.

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn on June 23, 2026 at 2 p.m. CTwith Pastor Corey Grunklee officiating.
