Mary Ruth Byrd Avant

Mary Ruth Byrd Avant of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 82.

She was born on October 13, 1942, to the late, Andy Jackson and Louise Johns Byrd. She is also preceded in death by two sons, Stevie L. Avant and Ricky L. Avant (Kim).

She is survived by her son, Donald W. Avant; 2 daughters, Teresa A. Jones and Darlene A.
Blocker; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
