Patricia Ann Anderson

February 21, 1932 - September 17, 2026

Patricia Ann Anderson, age 94, died on September 17, 2026 at Arbor Springs in Opelika, AL. She was a 1953 graduate of the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing in Birmingham, AL. She served in the Air Force for 20 years, with tours of duty in Iceland and Libya. She also served at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and Malcolm Grow Hospital at Andrews Air Force Base in Camp Springs, MD. She earned her Flight Nurse Wings and worked in the operating and emergency rooms and also surgical and OBGYN clinics. She retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1975. Patricia was a member of the Society of Air Force Nurses, the Military Officers Association of America, the Ida V. Moffett Alumni Association, and the Women’s Club & Newcomers Club of Auburn.

Her husband, Theodore “Ted” Anderson, preceded her in death on June 29, 2007. They were married in 1959 by his uncle, Judge Frank Thomas, in Ted’s family home on the Vista in Warren, AZ. After retirement they lived in Tuscon, AZ until 1991 and then moved to Bisbee, AZ where they resided for 9 years. In 2000 they moved to Auburn, AL to be near Pat’s family.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Carrie Law, her brothers and sisters-in law, Brenson (Ann) and Charles (Mary Ann), her sisters and brothers-in-law Frances (Ed) Wilson and Carolyn (Bill) Floyd.

She is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews.

At her request there will be no services.
