Paul Randall Willis, born July 16, 1970, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away April 13, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Paul was a man of many talents and passions. Throughout his life, he served others as a nurse, expressed creativity as a photographer, and demonstrated precision and skill as a dental lab technician. No matter the role, he took pride in his work and approached everything with care and commitment.
Outside of his career, Paul truly lived life. He had a deep love for hunting and found peace and joy in time spent in a deer stand. He was a devoted fan of Auburn football and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. He was also an incredible cook and an avid scuba diver who embraced adventure whenever he could.
Above all, Paul was a family man. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Stephanie M. Willis, and a proud and loving father to Karsten Willis (Sara Willis), Nathan Willis (Madie Willis), Elijah Bundy (Kansas Bundy), and JasaFleming. He cherished his role as a grandfather and found immense joy in his grandchildren: Alixcia Bundy, NovalynnBundy, and Saryiah Bundy; Gracelyn Willis, Easton Willis, Maverick Willis, and Wrenley Willis; and Ivy Willis and Stetson Willis. His love for his family was steadfast, and he would do anything for them.
Paul is survived by his father, Randall Willis (stepmother, Sandra Holt Willis), his mother, Debbie Allen Whatley (stepfather, Richard Whatley), his sister, Haedyn Whatley Campbell, and his beloved nieces and nephews, Parker Jackson Adair and Ensleigh Claire Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie M. Willis; his grandson, Karver Royce Elijah; his grandparents Wendell H. Willis and Frances R. Willis; Billy Frank Allen, Sr. and Margaret Worthy Allen; and Wilma Williams Whatley; and his brother-in-law, Chris Campbell.
Those who knew Paul will remember him as a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather—a man who showed his love through his actions, his presence, and his willingness to always put family first. His strength, character, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A private ceremony honoring Paul and his wife, Stephanie, will be held at a later date to be announced.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
