Shawn Christopher Blick was born January 22, 1969 in Houston, Texas. He was a loving father and husband to his wife, Dixie Hinkle Blick and 2 children, Ray Blick age 6 and Stella Blick age 4. He was raised in Cupertino, California by his mother Marcia Christyne Blick.
He enjoyed reading the Wall Street Journal, watching current events, taking apart computers and rebuilding them. He was an excellent soccer player as a teenager. He enjoyed snow skiing and any time by the water. He especially loved the ocean. He loved horses and even trained them for a brief time. Every day was a day of laughter and fun with him. He was kind, loving, intelligent, and funny. He had a unique quality of believing in everyone around him.
He graduated from UC Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in finance. He graduated from Haas school of Business. He worked for several major computer companies in Silicon Valley. You could always find him either spending time with his children or with a book in his hands.
He and his wife started their romance in 2009 in San Francisco, California. They later got married in 2014 in New Braunsfeld, Texas. He was the light of so many people's lives. We will honor and love him for the rest of our days. Rest In Peace, my love.
On his wife's side, he is survived by his wife, Dixie Hinkle Blick; children, Ray and Stella Blick; brother-in-law, Brandon Hinkle; sister-in-law, Sarah Lloyd; and mother and father- in-law Danny and Ginger Dennis.
On his side, he is survived by his mother, Marcia Chrystyne Blick (Dana McClintock); aunt, Marie Griffith (Dave); aunt, Margaret and her 3 children, Christopher and William Berry and Natalie Sheppard.
He will be joining in heaven, his twin brother, Jonathan Michael Blick; father, Michael Tapio Blick; grandparents, Frank and Harriet Mullens.
Visitation will he held at Alabama Funeral Homes & Cremation Centers on Thursday, May 6 at 1 pm CT until the funeral at 2:00 pm. Interment will be immediately after in Tallapoosa County Memory Gardens.
Flowers can be delivered to Alabama Funeral Homes & Cremation Centers located at 21927 US Highway 280 Camp hill, Alabama on May 6th. A local florist, Lakay's Unique Designs can be reached at (256) 825-2890 for assurance that they will be there on time.
