October 16, 1949 – March 3, 2023

Timothy Lovvorn Holmes, Sr. passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home on March 3, 2023. He was 73 years old.

Tim was born in Roanoke, Alabama on October 16, 1949 to the late, Joseph Lovvorn Holmes and Betty Jean Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Timothy Lovvorn Holmes Jr (Pam and sons, Griffin and Jackson); sister, Donna Clay (Tommy); brother, John Holmes (Susan); and other friends and family members.

Tim loved people and had a gift for connecting which was evident both at work and in his personal life. He dreamed big and always saw the glass as "half full". He loved cooking for people, working in his yard and garden, being of service to his fellows, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was quick to tell anyone, "I never thought I could love someone more than my son, but then I had grandchildren." He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

A service will be held to honor Tim on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. CT at Indian Springs Village Town Hall located at 2635 Cahaba Valley Road Indian Springs, AL 35124.
