Va’Lory Baker Jenkins
June 3, 1953 – August 31, 2025
Our beloved Va’Lory Jenkins, age 72, peacefully passed away August 31, 2025.
She was born June 3, 1953 , in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One of seven children she was the eldest daughter of the late Elmer Baker and Dolores Neely. Her siblings include the late Carlos, Lawerence, and Christopher Baker.
Va’Lory served her country in the United States Army for 8 years out of Fort Bragg, NC. She also served as a Police Officer in Augusta, GA and later settled in Phenix City, AL. where she shared her home with her loving husband of 42 years (Ret.) SFC. Raymond Jenkins. In her earlier days she also serviced as a paralegal, postman, truck driver, and the list goes on and on. There was never a job or venture she wasn’t willing to try. She was a devote Catholic growing up with the desire to always help those who are in need.
In addition to her twin daughters Tracey & Stacey Marshall, she left behind her only sister Cecelia Baker-McCray, her two brothers Taurus & Anthony Baker, and her two grandchildren Arion Vanzego & Camryn Wafer & her loving nieces & nephews. This is not to forget all the long list other close knit of other family and friends she so deeply cherished who will sadly miss her.
A service will be held on Friday, September 26th at 12pm at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
