Philip Jost, Jr.
January 19, 1955 – June 3, 2021
Phillip Jost, Jr. of Salem, Alabama, 66, passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, Georgia on June 3, 2021. A graveside service with military honors are scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. eastern time at Lakeview Memory Gardens located at 3800 Highway 280 431 North Phenix City, AL 36867.
Mr. Jost joined the U.S. Army right after high school. After serving in the military, he pursued his education in the automotive field, as he had a passion for cars. He continued his education and received numerous awards and certifications. He also built many cars from the ground up, and he worked several years as a crew manager traveling around the world repairing and setting up new movie theaters.
He is proceeded in death by both parents, Philip Jost Sr. & Eleanor Mae Jost; wife, Joyce Elizabeth Jost; sister, Linda Traub; and grandson, Tommy Jernigan. He is survived by his son, Philip Jost III; daughter, Victoria Kirkley (Brian); sister, Lois Borrero, great-granddaughter, Kaylee Elizabeth Jernigan; and several nieces & nephews.
