Ricky was a kind and generous person with a very adventurous spirit. He fulfilled his dream to become a pilot in 1996 and just last year completed his first solo helicopter flight. Ricky was an entrepreneur with several business endeavors that lead him to many friends that he treasured, one of his longest friends Greg Butts was with him during most of his endeavors. He produced a hunting TV show called “Stepping Outdoors with Richard Tharp” with one of his good friends and camera man, Terry Sullivan.

Ricky loved to sit on his porch and look out at his pond and visit with friends and family. It was his favorite place to be. Ricky loved his family and if you ever met him or saw him out somewhere he would be quick to tell you about them. Better known as “RicRic” and “Best Buddy” he loved to spend time and make memories with his family. RicRic was proud of his “babies” and told them often. Ricky will be missed more than he could ever imagine.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ricky’s family would love for you to send someone you love flowers and tell them just how much you love them and how proud you are on them. That’s the one thing Ricky always did.
