William David Rippy, 44, died Saturday, October 29, 2022.

David was born in Pensacola, Florida on July 20, 1978, the son of Timothy Rippy and the late Lydia Hughes. He was an Army veteran who proudly served in Iraq with the 724th Military Police Battalion. David previously served as a police officer with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and was a member of the department’s SWAT Team. He also worked as a Private Investigator in Alabama.

David was a faithful husband to his wife Jessica, and a loving father to his sons Liam and Ronan and daughter Olivia. Surviving in addition to his father Tim Rippy is his sister, Marti Crim and husband Laramie, brother, Ethan Hughes, Aunt, Tina Hull, Uncle, Billy Allison, Aunt, Gayle Lynch, and Uncle, Jerry Strickland, along with his niece and nephews.

David loved to sing and listen to music. Spending time with family and friends is what brought him the most joy. He will be remembered as a good man who was kind to everyone he met and gave selflessly to the service of others.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at later date.
