Willie James Gilmore

Willie James “Slim” Gilmore of Phenix City, Alabama passed away at Columbus Hospice on March 7, 2021 at the age of 82. There are no services scheduled at this time. The family intends to hold a memorial service at a later date.
Willie was born on May 14, 1938 in Andalusia, Alabama to the late Beat and Mattie Gilmore. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mabel Gilmore and many other loved family members. He is survived by his children, James Gilmore, Douglas (Cynthia) Hall, Valerie Fuller and Kimberly (Johnathan) Gore; brother Devaughn (Dorothy) Gilmore; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. His most important role in life was being “Paw Paw” to his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was a hard worker all of his life , who loved his family deeply. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.
