Ruby Elaine Hadaway

Ruby Elaine Hadaway passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023, in Cusseta, Alabama. Born on January 14, 1953, in Opelika, Alabama, Elaine lived a life full of love, faith, and gentleness, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Hadaway, son, Steve (Lisa) Hadaway, daughter in law Lesley Hadaway, four grandchildren, Makenzie (Trent) Hadaway Humphrey, River (Karlee) Hadaway, Baylee Hadaway, and Dylan Moore, three great-grandchildren, Eliza Kate and Everett Humphrey, and Emerson Lee Hadaway, brothers Ricky (Christy) Anglin, and Joe (Virginia) Anglin, sister Robin Landrum. She also leaves behind many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father James Anglin, mother Naomi Floyd, son, Robert Hadaway and grandson, Andrew Hadaway.
Elaine was a hardworking woman who dedicated many years of her life to her career at Lanier Hospital. Her patients admired her for her gentle touch and warm personality. Her retirement marked the end of a fulfilling career, but it also marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, one filled with family, faith, and love.
Elaine was a faithful member of the Fairfax Congregational Holiness Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in her church community. She loved her Lord and demonstrated her faith through her actions, always treating others with kindness and respect.
Elaine’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and gentleness. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved. As we remember Elaine, we celebrate a life well-lived, a faith well-expressed, and a love well-shared.
Memorial services for Elaine will be held on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 at 2:00 PM (EDT) at Fairfax Congregational Holiness Church in Valley. Clinton Hadaway and Ronald Cook will officiate.
In lieu of flowers love donations may be made to the family.
