On Monday, July 27, 2020, Joseph (Joe) Kaczynski, Jr., loving husband and father, passed away after a brief battle with cancer.  He was 72.

Joe was born in Connecticut to Joseph Kaczynski, Sr. and the late Blossom (Chapman) Basso. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War era.  Before retiring to Dadeville, AL, Joe’s career as a Mechanical Engineer took him all over the United States and into Mexico and Wales.  Joe loved fishing, playing pool and sitting back enjoying a beer with friends and family.  He loved animals and they loved him.  We called him Dr. DooLittleski.  Joe was talented, charismatic and could always see the humorous side of life.

Joe leaves behind his wife Gail of 34 years; his two sons (who he loved dearly and was so proud of) Joe (Theresa) and Dave (Melissa); step-sons, Aaron (Jen) Pomerleau and Ryan Pomerleau; grandchildren, Adam (Lily), Hannah, and Jack Kaczynski; step-grandchildren Phillip and Hannah Pomerleau and his beloved dog, Maggie Mae.  He is survived by his father, Joe (Hannah); sisters, Pat (Eddie) Pulcini and Mickie Ladner; brothers, Paul (Donna) and Robbie (Patty) and Mother-In-Law, Becky Chute.  He will forever be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life is planned for next Spring.  He was so loved and will be deeply missed!

Alabama Funeral Homes & Cremation Centers is handling the arrangements.
